When the pandemic started taking hold in our area in March of 2020, many people ended up working from home. After it appeared that the pandemic might last a while, many wanted to convert spare bedrooms into offices, but still wanted to maintain the option of having a spare bedroom when family members or friends visited.

To date I have built a total of 38 Murphy Beds. Most are Queen Verticals, some with additional cabinetry. We also build Vertical and Horizontal Units in all sizes. This includes:

Single (39" x 75" mattress pedestal)

Single XL (39" x 80" mattress Pedestal)

Full (55" x 75" mattress pedestal)

Full XL (55" x 80" mattress pedestal)

Queen (60" x 80" mattress pedestal)

 

As long as people ask for them, I will take on the projects as time allows.

The price of plywood lumber is still quite high, and hardware costs have increased significantly. But that being said, if people need a unit built, I will quote prices that will still make the custom-made beds affordable.

As of June 2024, a basic queen vertical murphy bed with simple two panel trim style will cost $2,800. Horizontal style will be $2,900. Customizations and increased trim complexity will be added to the basic prices. The prices include delivery and installation within 100 miles of my Milwaukee home. The price DOES NOT include a mattress. We recommend a 12" memory foam mattress for all bed sizes. Other options in all sizes are available to purchase.
